The baby's bed is right next to yours and he will be easy to access and take care of without fear of harming him. Good luck! We picked a theme & had a blast! Have fun Ladies! Some other stuff to think about is making sure your furniture does have sharp edges. We were offered a beautiful dresser for my son but had 2 turn it down beacause to edges were sharp & when ds started walking I would've panicked. Also baby proof outlet plugs, window guards if needed, radiator covers all depending on your home. Those first months fly by ladies & soon they will be crawling/walking around their room & U want 2 make it as safe as possible! Before my son was born the most fun I had was creating the nursery. We bought a really beautiful handmade mobile from www.camdenrose.com that spins over my daughter's crib. It was the first thing we purchased and it created our theme. I think this was an invaluable tool for us! Babies don’t “know” that they have a cute nursery but they feel when you put effort into making their enviornment special and they feel when you value them by making things nice. So, yes, loving them is most important but having giving them a lovely room can help them feel loved. I agree and disagree with Riley C.
